Fieldwork Monitoring in the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE)

This project documents how monitoring of fieldwork is done in during teh main data collections of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) by using the conceptual framework of total survey error as a guiding principle. Constant revison are being done to technological background of monitoring and managing fieldwork as software and governance keeps chaning in SHARE. Findings on selected indicators are being presented in each SHARE wave tjrough fortnightly reports to contracted survey agencies during the entire data collection period. IN addition, bilateral communication happens to give advice on corrective action, mostly on interviewer level by providing interviewer-level report cards.
