Since May 2007: Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA), University of Mannheim
Head of Research Unit “Macroeconomic Implications of an Aging Society” (Since February 2010)
Research Interests
Households' intertemporal decisions: consumption and saving; expectation formation and their role in saving decisions; poverty among the elderly; effect of economic growth on living standards; social and economic effects of the industrial revolution; Survey methodology: effect of incentives on sample attrition.
