The Social Policy and Law Shared Database - SPLASH (formerly PERFAR)

Mitarbeiter in diesem Projekt:

What are the policies designed to address population change in Europe, and how do these policies work within modern societies? The Social Policy and Law Shared Database (formerly Population Europe Resource Finder and Archive, PERFAR) is a tool which allows the user to explore the linkages between policies on the macro level and population data on the micro level. The SPLASH Database will offer access to a comprehensive collection of social policies and their supporting legislation related to population developments in up to 19 European countries covering various areas (family, education, employment, health, migration) developed in collaboration with Population Europe partners until 2016. In addition, the SPLASH Database will provide access to datasets of contextual indicators for longitudinal microdata analysis and a data map of external quantitative and qualitative data sources. Therefore, SPLASH facilitates users to conduct comparative analyses of social policies over space and time, as well as represents a contextual data source for SHARE. The project was started at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (www.mpidr.mpg.de) and since 2016 is maintained and developed at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy (www.mpisoc.mpg.de) under the leadership of Axel Börsch-Supan and Ulrich Becker.
